When Wyatt was 35 weeks he fell off of our bed. I felt absolutely awful. I guess I can't leave him on the bed anymore. I left him on the bed as I was putting clothes away and I look back over and I just see the end of his legs and feet. He did a nose dive off the bed and just started wailing. I had just been thinking how he hasn't ever fallen off the bed and how good I felt about that and then this happened. He was crying so hard I thought for sure something happened to him but he eventually stopped and was fine. I didn't want to leave his sight and was a little shook up. Now I know how Andrew felt when he fell with Wy.
We have tried more finger food this month - even chicken, meatloaf, pasta! He loves it!
Wyatt has been babbling a lot more. In fact, he says "dada" but not to Andrew.
I would say that 12 month clothes probably fit him the best right now, but still in 9 months and some 6 (mainly his pants and jammies are 6 months)
At 36 weeks I noticed that Wyatt started holding his bottle with one hand..it was pretty funny!
He has also been moving like crazy - not crawling yet - rolling from back to front to front to back. He has even gone from sitting to his belly!
Poor Wyatt got an ear and eye infection at 37 weeks. Wyatt didn't sleep at all that night. He was waking up all the time just screaming and we had no idea what was going on. Everytime we would set him down in his crib he would start crying all over again. The evening before we noticed his eye was getting all red and goopy stuff was coming out of it. It looked like conjunctivitis. I called the pediatrician the next day about his eye but also mentioned that he might have an ear infection. We were able to go in that day and sure enough Wyatt had an ear infection. Dr. Moshofsky said that a lot of times eye infections are connected to ear infections. Good to know! He prescribed him amoxicillin to clear both up. Poor little guy.
He had two more teeth come in. The next top left and right teeth poked through. (6 teeth)
Wyatt can really drink out of his sippy cup. He was able to hold it before but wasn't quite sure how to get the water out of it. [38 weeks]
Wyatt had his 9 month appointment and here are his stats:
- weight: 22lb 3oz (76%)
- head circumference: 47 3/4cm (97%) haha...our baby has a HUGE head! :) It doesn't seem THAT big to me.
- height: 29 1/2" (86%)
I asked Dr. Moshofsky a few things. He said his cough will probably just clear up as it's going around right now. Our carseat goes up until 35 lbs so we are good on that for awhile. He can basically eat anything now except honey, crunchy peanut butter, seafood, not too much dairy. I told him that Wy has good nights and bad nights for sleeping (mostly bad). He just wakes up periodically throughout the night. Moshofsky said that because we are all three in the same room for right now, we most likely won't be getting a full night sleep until we move out! Apparently he can sense our presence and that could be why he cries in the middle of the night..no wonder! I wanted to ask him about pacifiers because at our 6 month appointment he suggested you get rid of the pacifier between 6-9 months. I was kinda freaking out about this one a bit. I was torn between getting rid of it or not. What do I give him in place if I do get rid of the pacifier? Will it be a total disaster if I wait to get rid of the pacifier? So many thoughts in my head about this one little thing. We only give him the paci at naps and bedtime, so it's not like he's addicted to it! :) Moshofsky said that he doesn't think it's a big deal to give him the paci due to our situation. He says they recommend doing away with the pacifier before age 2 because that is when orthodontic issues come into play. I'm thinking it will be easier once we move out to address the pacifier issue.
The day before Wyatt turned 9 months he started crawling. It was so crazy! I feel like he has been so close for SO long now. He just started putting his hands out and just went for it. (still need to capture a video) This same day his next bottom right tooth came in. That makes 7 teeth!
Wyatt went to his first birthday party. His friend, Katelyn turned 1 on February 5th. They are exactly 4 months apart. She had an Elmo themed party. There were 7 babies there and only two of them were boys! It was pretty cute when we had them all lined up.

Andrew got a new job. YEAH! He was getting tired of working for AA Window and Gutter and applied to George Fox University. This is something he really wanted to do. He has officially finished one whole week of work and LOVES it! I am so excited for him and this next journey of our lives.
