week 28.

Hello third trimester.

This last week I have definitely felt more hiccups coming from our little guy. They are more subtle feeling than actual kicking with a definite rhythm to them. It is so cool!

We had a doctor's appointment this last week. My midwife said that he his healthy and strong and measuring right on track. This was the first week they actually measured me, which is cool. [I still have a weird feeling that he might be a big baby and might come early] I asked her why my belly was feeling pressure and tight sometimes and she said it almost sounded like Braxton Hicks...weird!! All in all she said the baby and I look great!

Now that I am a little bigger I have started to rest more things on my belly. HA! It's kind of fun! People have also been telling me that I carry really low. I think this must be why it is hard for me to shave, put on socks, and paint my toenails! :) I have also had people tell me that I look close to delivering...awesome! :)

I definitely feel that my uterus has expanded. It is continuously growing up and up. I feel as if more of me has grown too - butt, love handles [I better slow down on all the desserts I'm consuming! :)]

I am feeling great for the most part. My lower back hurts every once in awhile...probably from just doing too much! I can be stubborn and think I can do more than I actually can or should do...rest, rest, rest!

week 27.

Well, due to the power outages, stormy weather, and family being here, I was unable to get a picture taken by Erica. I hope you enjoy our green walls! :)

My favorite thing in the world is to feel my baby boy moving around inside of me. I still cannot believe there is a human being in there. God is amazing!

This last week my mom, dad, Mark, and Amy all came down from Portland to visit us. We had a great time, although the weather wasn't the greatest. [next week it's suppose to be in the 70's!] It is the last time they will be down here since we are moving in August. I was so glad they were able to come and see our life one last time! We have so many transitions ahead of us and I am continually reminded by God's Word that it is completely in his hands. I have been trying to pack up a few things now while it is a little easier. It can be so hard for me to rest, that I have to remember to listen to my body when it is telling me to sit for a bit. [I think I get that from my mom!]

Our baby boy had the hiccups for the first time this last week! I didn't know if that is what it was at first because it was so subtle. SO COOL! I absolutely love being pregnant. Next week I start the third trimester! Oh boy...

week 26.

What a week this has been!!

We had our very first baby shower this week in Southern California. We had a blast with friends and family. I would say there was about fifty people there all together. We mostly got clothes, which is great because a lot of them were bigger sizes! Our little man is set! :) On the way home from the shower, we were able to stop in Pasadena and visit our friends. It was so great to be able to grab lunch with Jackie, Brant, and Maddie. They are dear friends and I am glad it was able to work out. We hope to see them this summer! :)

Diaper cake.

Presents.

[I can't get the others to upload..oh well]

As you can see from the pictures, I also colored my hair. I went in wanting highlights and came out with my whole head colored. I told her I thought some red-ish highlights would be fun and we she came back from mixing the color she started lathering it on my head. I immediately asked her what she was doing and she said, "I thought you wanted your whole head dyed!?!" I think I went into shock for a moment. Nonetheless, it's fun for change and I will never forget that I dyed my hair red with my first child. [to my family: apparently, I always seem to go extreme with my hair when some big event is happening in my life..senior pics? ha]

This week we have officially signed up for an infant care class at the hospital we will be giving birth. We are doing the all day class on April 30th. I also sent in our registration today for Dominican Hospital. Oh boy, it's becoming more real with each step! AND...I just got our baby a pediatrician! We have a meet and greet next week! YEAH!

So many fun things this week...we got our carseat!! My parents bought us our carseat and I love it! Thank you mom and dad! Andrew and I were trying to figure it out last night. I know there isn't much to it but as first timers it was pretty amusing. We got the Graco Snugride 35 - Flint carseat that fits in the BOB stroller.

week 25.

This week I have really noticed how people love to help pregnant women. I guess you can just really tell now that I am pregnant! :)

I was at Pacific Coffee Roasters this week and ordered an iced coffee - don't worry it was decaf! Normally, they just put it on the counter for the customer to come and get but the guy brought it to me. He then proceeded to ask me if I would like a straw and went to get one for me. I thought it was really nice!

love.

I am loving being pregnant.

I feel beautiful.

I have had a few strangers come up to me and tell me how cute my belly looks.
[this is weird to write about, but, it makes so much a difference when you don't feel it]

I cannot wait to meet him.

I love this baby boy so much.
